There is a huge amount of software available for use under emulators. However, organising it can prove extremely difficult - especially if you have a large collection. I have written a number of utilities to attempt to solve this problem for 18 different platforms - and I hope to write more in the future.

  29. Note that Atari 7800, Atari Jaguar, Neo Geo Pocket, and Virtual Boy are only available in a beta version. The latest stable release is v1.4.

  33. While not all the ROM Info applications include all of the features below, they all include some subset of the following features:

  35.  ΓÇó The ability to display the information embedded in the ROM - or if none is present, to display information about the ROM taken from an internal database in the programs. 
  36.  ΓÇó The ability to rename the ROM to its correct name according to a set list of criteria. 
  37.  ΓÇó The ability to save the ROM's information to the finder comment field. 
  38.  ΓÇó The ability to save or print a list of ROMs. 
  39.  ΓÇó The ability to change the file's Type and Creator to popular emulators. 
  40.  ΓÇó The ability to compress ROMs using gzip, which can be decompressed transparently by many popular emulators.
